I can honestly say I have never been in the company of such a focussed and determined bunch of people. My mission when when set off was clear: Ian, you are to help anyone if they flag, offer support to anyone who needs it and generally rip the piss. A lot. Clearly this group is made of some pretty tough stuff. This climb on Sunday was hard enough for my motorcycle. These people pedalled up vertical walls of rock and Tarmac and were smiling at the top. When they belted hell for leather down mountain sides, screaming with delight some of them, I was genuinely in fearof their lives. Whether they will feel that adrenaline rush again ever, or enjoy just a high dopamine euphoria, who knows but I do know that they all deserve to feel proud and satisfied with this immense achievement. Jw tells me that £6k has been raised too.
